FLOW. POWER. PURPOSE.
PERFECT BALANCE
At the heart of every efficient vessel lies a perfect balance between power and control, speed and silence, energy and flow.
The Servogear Ecoflow Propulsor™ is that balance. A fully integrated propulsion system where each component is engineered to work as one.
Every curve, every angle, every ratio is refined through testing, feedback, and years at sea. The result: unmatched hydrodynamic harmony.
ENGINEERED AS ONE
The Servogear Ecoflow Propulsor™ system consists of these main components:
-
Propeller tunnel: A unique hull design, tailored to each vessel’s size and operation profile – ensuring optimal vessel performance
-
Effect rudder: A twisted rudder minimizing drag while generating forward thrust
-
Controllable pitch propeller: Perfects load distribution and propulsion efficiency at all speeds and loads
-
Shaft brackets: A streamlined design reducing drag at high speeds
SUPERIOR EFFICIENCY
TEST RESULTS
This graph shows the typical efficiency of different propulsors. Results from tank tests and full scale verification tests with an optimized Servogear Ecoflow PropulsorTM has been plotted in for the purpose of comparison. The tests were conducted by SSPA in Sweden and MARINTEK in Norway. Servogear Ecoflow PropulsorTM operational range is illustrated with the blue field in the graph (20–50 knots).
Through a unique combination of hydrodynamic design and system integration, the Servogear Ecoflow Propulsor™ converts more power into thrust – and less into wasted energy.
Tank and full-scale verification tests have proven that our system is more efficient than any other known propulsion concept available for high-speed vessels operating in the range up to 50 knots.
This efficiency leads to lower fuel consumption, more economic operation, and less pollution. Vessels equipped with the Servogear Ecoflow Propulsor™ typically see fuel savings of 10–20 %, and reduced emissions to match.
For hybrid and fully electric vessels, our solutions ensure lower energy use – reducing battery size and weight, as well as extended operational range and flexibility.
COMFORTABLE PRECISION
True performance isn’t just about how fast and efficient you go, it’s also how it feels along the way.
The Ecoflow Propulsor™ gives captains fingertip control and instant throttle response in all conditions, from slow manoeuvring near piers or offshore installations to high-speed open-water cruising.
The system also assures less vibrations and lower noise levels compared to other propulsion alternatives – providing more comfort for crew and passengers alike.
By using slimmer, more efficient equipment, the Ecoflow Propulsor™ takes up less space on board, giving greater design flexibility and higher payload or passenger capacity.

FAQ
The system is presented as a complete solution including a controllable pitch propeller (CPP), propeller tunnel, effect rudder, shaft/support brackets, and gearbox—configured to match the vessel and operating profile.
Ecoflow Propulsor™ focuses on system-level hydrodynamic integration so a larger share of input power becomes useful thrust. The goal is higher efficiency at speed, with less energy lost to drag and turbulence.
Results depend on hull and mission profile. The page describes typical fuel savings in the 10–20% range and also shows larger reductions in specific comparison examples.
Yes. Improved efficiency can reduce energy demand, which may enable smaller batteries and lower system weight, and increase operational range and flexibility.
